Local home support across south-east Sheffield and Waverley

Unity Home Care · Sheffield and Waverley

Clear from the first conversation.

A straightforward route from telling us what has changed to agreeing suitable support, visit times and a transparent price.

Getting started

Five clear stages. Nothing begins until you agree.

Tell us what has changed

Call, email or use the form. You do not need to know the name of a service or have every answer.

We listen and assess

We discuss routines, preferences, risks, outcomes and the kind of support that may help.

Receive a clear quote

We set out the agreed visit length, frequency, tasks and price before you make a decision.

Agree the plan

If Unity is the right fit, we agree responsibilities, communication and a suitable start.

Visit, record and review

Our team follows the plan, records support and reviews it when circumstances change.

Pricing

Clear rates, agreed before support begins.

Your initial assessment is completely free. All prices include VAT, and there are no hidden costs.

Travel and activity costs

Additional costs are discussed in advance.

Where an agreed visit involves travelling with or on behalf of the client—for example, attending an appointment or going out for the day—mileage is charged at 60p per mile.

The client is also responsible for agreed parking, public transport, tolls and admission costs, including any necessary costs for the accompanying Unity team member.

We will discuss expected expenses before the visit wherever reasonably possible. There are no hidden charges.

Changes and cancellations

Clear notice periods, handled with care.

We aim to be flexible when visit days or times need to change.

More than 72 hours’ notice
0%No cancellation charge
48 to 72 hours’ notice
25%of the scheduled visit charge
24 to fewer than 48 hours’ notice
50%of the scheduled visit charge
Fewer than 24 hours’ notice
100%of the scheduled visit charge

We take a flexible and compassionate approach where circumstances change unexpectedly, including an unplanned hospital admission or another exceptional event.

If more than two visits are cancelled within a calendar month, we will review the regular schedule with the client to ensure it continues to meet their needs. Repeated cancellations may result in the reserved visit time being changed or withdrawn in accordance with the notice provisions in the support agreement.

We normally require 28 days’ written notice to end an ongoing support arrangement or make a planned change to the regular support package. Urgent changes affecting the person’s safety, wellbeing or suitability for the agreed support will be reviewed immediately.

If Unity has to cancel a visit, the client will not be charged, and we will try to arrange a suitable alternative wherever possible.

Before support begins: Full payment and cancellation terms are explained in the support agreement.

Clear records

Information for the right people.

We use PASS by everyLIFE Technologies for care records, visit notes and rostering, supporting secure and GDPR-conscious information handling. With the person’s consent and appropriate permissions, a client or authorised person of interest can use openPASS to view real-time visit information and care notes.

Technology supports good communication; it does not replace a conversation with the person or family.

Common questions

Will we know the price before support starts?

Yes. We explain the agreed service, schedule and pricing structure before you decide.

Are the published prices the full amount payable?

Yes. The rates shown include VAT. Any agreed mileage, parking, transport, toll or admission costs are discussed separately and there are no hidden charges.

Is there pressure to commit after an assessment?

No. The purpose is to understand the situation and decide whether Unity is the right fit.

What happens if needs change?

Contact us and we can review the plan, availability and cost. If the new need falls outside our scope, we will explain that honestly.

Not sure where to begin?

Tell us what has changed. We will listen and help you think through the next step.
