Unity Home Care · Sheffield and Waverley
Created from personal experience. Built around dignity.
Unity Home Care began with a conviction that people and families deserve to feel listened to, respected and involved.
Our story
Why Unity Home Care began.
Unity Home Care began with Wayne’s experience of arranging care and support for his own mum. At a time when his family needed reassurance, he became acutely aware of practices that felt impersonal and unprofessional, and of how easily business priorities could appear to come before the person receiving support.
Wayne witnessed first-hand what it meant when compassion, empathy and genuine interest in the individual were missing. It did not only affect the person receiving support; it left the whole family worried, unheard and uncertain about whether someone they loved was truly being cared for.
That experience became a determination to build something better—not only for his mum, but for other families facing the same difficult decisions. Unity Home Care was created to combine warmth with professionalism and to keep the client’s dignity, choices and wellbeing at the centre of every conversation, plan and visit.
“I did not want other families to feel they had to accept support that did not truly care about the person. Unity exists to provide the kind of dependable, compassionate support I wanted for my own mum—support that always puts the client first.”
