Not sure where to begin?

Tell us what has changed.

Most people do not begin by knowing the name of a service. Choose the situation that feels closest and we will suggest a helpful starting point.

This is general guidance, not an assessment. A conversation will help us understand the person, their choices and what is within our current service.

Why families choose Unity

Clear, local support—with no need to guess.

These are practical commitments families can understand before support begins.

Local focus

We cover a defined group of neighbouring communities across south-east Sheffield and Waverley, so visits can be planned realistically.

Built around the person

Routines, preferences and choices are discussed before support begins and reflected in the agreed plan.

Clear scope and price

We explain what we can provide, set out the schedule and price, and do not begin until everything is agreed.

Useful visit information

With consent and the right permissions, authorised people can view real-time visit information and notes through openPASS.

How we help

Support for the everyday things that matter.

Choose a service to see what it can include. Everything starts with listening to the person and agreeing what would genuinely help.

Personal routines

We can help prepare for washing and dressing, fetch or lay out items, offer ordinary encouragement and check afterwards where the person can decide and complete the activity themselves.

Companionship

A chat over tea, a favourite hobby, a gentle walk or company on an outing—companionship is shaped around the person, not a timetable.

From light cleaning and laundry to shopping and everyday errands, we work alongside you so home continues to feel like home.

Respite support

We spend time with your loved one, follow familiar routines and provide agreed support while you rest, attend appointments or simply recharge.

Support with a human touch

The person comes before the task.

Good home support should feel calm, respectful and familiar—not rushed or clinical.

  • We listen to routines, preferences and what a good day looks like
  • We agree a clear plan with the person and, where appropriate, their family
  • We encourage independence and review support as needs change
Why Unity was created

Getting started

Three simple steps. No pressure.

Tell us what has changed

Call, email or use the form. You do not need to have all the answers.

We listen and assess

We discuss routines, preferences, risks and the kind of support that may help.

Agree support together

If we are the right fit, we create a clear plan and arrange a suitable start.

Kind words

“From the get go Unity Home Care have listened to me and understood the support I require… and above all I can depend on.”
Pam · Unity Home Care client since August 2024

Questions families often ask

Clear answers, from the beginning.

Do I need to know exactly which service to ask for?

No. Tell us what has become difficult, what matters to the person and what you are worried about. We can then explain what is within our current service scope.

Is Unity Home Care CQC registered?

Not at present. Unity Home Care is working towards registration. We will always be open about our current status and the services we are able to provide.

Can family members be involved?

Yes, with the person’s agreement. We welcome family insight while keeping the individual’s choices, privacy and dignity central.

What if Unity cannot provide the support we need?

We will explain that honestly. Where needs fall outside our current scope, we will suggest speaking to an appropriate CQC-registered service or relevant professional rather than making a promise we cannot safely keep.

Not sure where to begin?

Tell us what has changed. We will listen and help you think through the next step.
